The AHDS presents wide ranging collections relating to landscape-use and material culture. Some examples include:

From AHDS Archaeology / ADS

* Dunadd: an Early Dalraidic Capital – one of the most significant archaeological sites in Scotland, and one of the most important early medieval sites in Britain
* Ave Valley Survey Project, Porto – looks at the impact of Roman annexation on the indigenous landscape of a region which had a sophisticated Pre-Roman Iron Age Culture
* ArchSearch - provides details of research on some 600,000 sites and monuments

-- Music and Liturgy --

The [Digital Image Archive of Medieval Music] (DIAMM) is hosted by AHDS Performing Arts. The project obtains, archives and enhances digital images of European sources of medieval polyphonic music. These are then made available on the project website.

-- Language and Literature / Literacy and Communication --

[AHDS Literature, Languages and Linguistics] provides over 2,500 texts and corpora; many of these are relevant to medieval studies

* Theological texts range from Apostolic and Patrisic Texts to ‘Saints’ Lives’ and ‘Sermons’
* Authors from Boethius and Bede to Gregory and Gratian;
* Additionally, a number of anthologies and text based corpora, from ‘Alliterative Verse: Samples from 14 Medieval Poems’ to ‘Helsinki Corpus of Older Scots’ to ‘Complete Corpus of Old English: The Toronto Dictionary of Old English Corpus’.
